Dr. Gregg Kuhlmann, D.O.

Dr. Gregg KuhlmannDr. Kuhlmann received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and Physical Education from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA in 2000. He earned his Medical School Degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirskville, MO in 2007. Dr. Kuhlmann completed his Family Practice Internship and Residency at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, MO in 2010. He then went on to earn his Fellowship in Sports Medicine from Northwest Health System in Bentonville, AR in collaboration with Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. The twelve month Fellowship included being the team physician for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, which is the AA team for the Kansas City Royals, game coverage of multiple high schools, and baseball pitching research at the University of Arkansas Human Performance Lab. Dr. Kuhlmann is boarded by the American Ostoepathic Board of Family Practice and American Osteopathic Association of Sports Medicine. He is extensively trained in non-operative orthopedics including sports injuries diagnosis and treatment, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) injections, peripheral nerve blocks, ultrasound guided diagnosis of multiple joint, muscle, and tendon injuries, and neurocognitive testing for concussed athletes. Dr. Kuhlmann will also treat all non-musculoskeletal aspects of sports medicine, particularly athletes with chronic and acute illnesses (such as infectious mononucleosis, asthma or diabetes), nutrition, supplements, ergogenic aids, performance issues, exercise prescription for patients who want to increase their fitness, return to play decisions, and healthy lifestyle promotion. Dr. Kuhlmann will also be involved with developing the strengthening and rehabilitation protocols at the Center of Athletic Excellence.
